Caring for Your New Hair Extensions

It is important that you follow these hair care tips so your new hair extensions will last as long as possible.

General  maintenance of Straight /Curly / wavy/ kinky hair

• Shampoo at least once a week using a renowned shampoo with a PH shampoo no higher than PH7.
  
  
• It is advisable to precondition hair before washing because some shampoos can be harsh.
  
  
• Dilute one ounce of shampoo in a bowl or a jug with a pint of warm water.
  
  
• Sponge the shampoo into the hair making sure massage it!
  
  
• Rinse thoroughly.
  
  
• Extensions do not receive the natural oils from your scalp, so it is important to always use a low PH high moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.  Apply a generous amount and start to comb through the ends up towards the roots.
  
  
• Rinse thoroughly leave to dry naturally, do not go to bed with wet hair.
  
  
• At night, tie your hair up gently or for curly/wavy hair braid your hair into one loose large braid at the back of the neck to maintain smaller waver braid hair in to multiple pieces. Curls can be maintained using sausage rollers.
  
  
• After awaking up, undo the braid and comb through from the ends to roots. Do not use oil products on curly human hair. Oil products will keep the curly human hair in a wet condition and cause matting.
